This is MY Headunit!,
I’m in love with this multimedia headunit! I can do everything on this thing! GPS, Live TV, Bluetooth, Media Streaming via Bluetooth, Play DVD,s-etc! One thing I find great is you can set a background on the display. Has so many inputs and outputs. I have my whole system amplified via Front, Rear, and Sub amps, so I can’t say how the sound quality through the built-in amp is. I may add a video review later, because there are SO many things this head unit does! I HIGHLY recommend this unit!

|Worth the extra dough…,
I have an older Peloton (517) but bought two of the Echelon (518) and really enjoy the difference in quality and ease of use. The head is heavy and sturdy and the locks are easier to reach. Actually, everything else (the tire tray) is about the same as the Peloton – it is the head and the mounting bracket that make them different. The bracket is also extremly solid, securing the carrier completely across the base of the head. The Peloton has more of a U-bolt type of bracket and it always makes me feel as if the bike could wobble a bit at high speed.
I am a faithful Prime member and truly buy most everything from Amazon, including expensive cameras and tools. But for some reason I actually had a couple of returns with this product. I had ordered another Peloton first, but it came with a bolt that was not threaded properly, so I returned it and got an Echelon but it had scratches on the tray, so I returned that also and got the two Echelons at East Providence Cycle, my local bike shop.
Let me also add that no store is more accomodating with returns than Amazon. I am always confident in my purchases that they will be stressfree that way.

|Updated design works great,
Thule just replaced my broken Velo Vise V2′s with new Echelons under warranty (thanks rackattack) – the old racks lasted about 4 years of very frequent use (road, cross, mtb). I couldn’t be happier, and I am impressed with the updated design. These new racks are much easier to adjust for different forks, and clamp solidly to the bars and the forks. I like the redundant mounting bolts. Also, whatever issue there was with key locks (noted in another review) seems to have been fixed – the clamps lock securely. In fact, because the fork locking cam action is so smooth and has only a slight detent, I would hesitate to use these without a key lock. But since I always seem to lock the heads when a bike it attached to them this is not an issue. Looking forward to using these for many years to come.
